How often do scooters need an oil change?

Generally, a scooter's engine oil must be changed every 1500 to 2000 miles, which will prevent engine damage. We suggest that you perform regular oil changes every 500 miles after the initial 200-mile search. Unlike a car, a scooter only has two wheels and problems with the tires can more easily lead to a loss of control and possible injuries, so it makes sense to ensure that the tire pressure is correct. The larger Yamaha scooters have oil filters, but the Hondas don't (just a small screen).

You can find some suggestions for inexpensive but useful tools in the Tools section of the scooter store. Although you won't find individual repair manuals for every Chinese scooter, they're all quite similar and many use the same engines. The oil you use is less important than how often you change it, although you would probably avoid using pure synthetic oil on a scooter, especially during the rest period.
